Every day WooMoon shows you which house of your birth chart the Moon is passing through — touching the main areas of your life and suggesting how to use the energy of the day.

What does that actually mean, and why is it one of the most practical hints astrology can give? Let’s work through it in plain language.

When you were born, the planets stood in a particular way. That “snapshot of the sky” is your birth chart. It is divided into twelve houses — twelve areas of life: yourself, resources, communication, home and family, creativity and love, health, relationships, transformation, meaning, vocation, your circle and your dreams, your inner world.

The chart stays with you for life. The sky, meanwhile, keeps moving. And the Moon moves fastest of all: in one month she walks the whole circle and looks into every one of your twelve houses.

This is what is called the Moon’s transit — her journey through your chart.

Why do we count from the Moon?

Here is an important point — especially if you already know some astrology and are used to counting houses from the ascendant, from the Rashi chart.

In the Vedic tradition the Moon is the central planet. She governs the mind, the feelings, perception — everything through which we actually live each day. It is no accident that Jyotish has a separate chart — the lunar one, where the starting point is not the ascendant but the position of your natal Moon. All twelve houses are built from her.

It is this lunar chart that WooMoon uses. We look at where the Moon was at the moment of your birth — and count her daily journey from that point.

Why this way? Because the Moon’s transit is a story about mood, sensitivity, the inner accents of a day. And all of that is the Moon’s own territory. When a lunar transit is read from the lunar chart, it describes not outer events but how you live the day inside — and it lands far more precisely.

So if you are used to counting houses from the ascendant and you see a “different” house in WooMoon — it is not a mistake. It is a different, finer optic: the Moon, counted from the Moon.

Every two to three days, a new focus

The Moon stays in each house for a little over two days. Which means that every two to three days life gently invites you to move your attention to a new area.

For a couple of days attention naturally turns to yourself and your body. Then — to resources and the feeling of ground under you. Then — to communication, to home, to creativity and love, to order and health, to relationships, to deep processes, to meaning, to your life’s work, to friends and dreams, to quiet and restoration. And the circle begins again.

That is the beauty of the lunar transit: in one month the Moon passes through every area of your life. Not one is left without attention. You do not need to invent anything or plan from scratch — it is enough to notice where the Moon is shining today, and to let yourself be in that theme.

A hint that is only yours, every day

Imagine having a gentle inner navigator that quietly points out: today is a good day to stay home and keep warm. And today — to show up in your work. Or to slow down and let go of what is extra.

When you live in agreement with this rhythm, days stop being all the same. A sense of cycle appears, in which everything has its own time: activity and rest, company and silence, making and finishing.

Every day WooMoon shows which house of your lunar chart the Moon is in, and suggests where to gently place your attention. Try watching this for just one lunar month — and you will be surprised how precisely your inner state matches her journey.
